Revised Provincial Continuing Care Health Service Standards

Alberta Health has eliminated the certification requirement for Health Care Aides under Standard 1.13. A new approach to health care aide qualifications is being developed by the Alberta Health Service Board. This Inservice Skill Development Initiative will ensure a consistent approach across the province that focuses on safety and quality care and a program that is flexible, sustainable and achieveable.
